When travelling within and outside the EU with cats, dogs or ferrets, please take these requirements into account:
- The pets need an animal passport when travelling abroad. You can obtain a passport with your vet.
- All pets should have be vaccinated against rabies. Your vet can do this for you. He is also authorised to make a note of the vaccination in the animal passport
- Your pet needs to have an identification mark (chip or tattoo)
- Pets belonging to the endangered or protected species list need a CITES document
- Other animals need a health certificate
